Our Story

The Tangerine story began with wanting to bring a new, exciting and healthier place to eat in Price, Utah, my son and I have spent several years studying the implementation of our new concept, and looking for that exact fit for The Tangerine Eatery. During those years we meet with many chefs, talked with different restaurant and yogurt shop owners, and listened to the people of the area to create The Tangerine Eatery.  Our goal and commitment to our great community is to bring not only an enjoyable place to eat, but also to offer a healthier menu.  With the help of different chefs and the input from the community, we carefully designed our menu to include the finest ingredients that are available to us, as opposed to choosing the least expensive ingredients.  All of our menu items are prepared fresh to order with very little wait time so our customers get the freshest meal available.  Justin and I spent over 6 months renovating the building that now is The Tangerine Eatery, which expresses our new concept in dinning. With Justin’s art work on the walls, high tech epoxy flooring to the opened stainless steel walls our concept came to life.

During the process and development of The Tangerine Eatery, we also found out that children, when in a yogurt shop, have the tendency to exceed on the toppings. That usually surprises their parents at the cash stand when paying for the extra toppings.  In an ordinary yogurt shop, toppings are paid by the ounce making the FROYO pricier than it has to be. Having learned that, we decided to be up front with our customers so our toppings come in sealed cups enabling parents to know up front the cost of their FROYO, and for The Tangerine to control not only the freshness of the toppings, but also to prevent any possible contamination by others.

We have spent a lot of time developing and implementing The Tangerine Eatery because this is a project dear to our hearts.  It was not an easy road to travel, but it was made possible with all the help from the experts in the industry and the dear members of our community, and we both would like to thank every one of you who helped us turn this dream into reality.
